Lingerie + Mustaches {the perfect match}

So I know I said I would re-cap yesterday, but my normal Sunday routine was a little off due to me traveling back into town & then leaving again to travel for work all week. I am just now getting some alone time in my hotel room (the silence is amazing) to show ya some pics from Katie's Pin Up Themed Lingerie Shower & Katie & Kevin's Mustache Bash Couples Shower.

{Get ready for a photo overload}
Lingerie Shower
 Mustache Bash
 Late Night Swim Sessions
Both parties were so much fun, the decorations were spot on and the food was delicious. I had such a fun weekend. So fun in fact, that it really is nice to be in hotels all week being taken care of so I do not have to lift a finger. Thank the Lord!

And for this weekend, my parents are coming to visit and I could not be more happy!!! I miss them so much, plus mommy likes to take me shopping :)

Sneak Peak...

Normally I do not post on the weekends. Ya know, something about a work life balance kinda thing, whatev. But wanted to show ya just a few pictures from Katie's Pin Up Lingerie Party last night that I wish to share. Just a small little sneak peak and a full re-cap on Monday or Tuesday :)

And tonight's festivities the gals & guys will combine forces for Katie & Kevin's Mustache Bash Couples Shower. Although us girls can hold our own and had a blast last night, tonight's party just might burn the house down. Just sayin.

Happy Weekend!

It's a shower kinda weekend

Hello Hello, Good Morning Good Morning.

I am writing you from HOME. Not the house or city I actually live in each day, but where my heart is. My real home. Houston! This is where I grew up, where my family & friends are and where I want more than anything to eventually get back to when it's the right move for me. And for now, the Big D (Dallas) is just a hop, skip and a god awful car ride away, but it will do for now :)

But the real reason I am home this weekend is because two of my friend's are getting married in October and this is the weekend of showers, showers & more showers!

These are my dear friends Katie & Kevin.
So tonight the bridesmaids are putting on a really fun lingerie shower for Katie. She doesn't know too much about it, but with the group of girls throwing it-me included-i see lots of shenanigans in the future.

Then Saturday night is their couples shower, which is not going to be like the whole, lets sit down and ooo & aww over the cute gifts they just received. It is going to be a put on your best Mustache and pour your strongest drink and lets get silly to celebrate these two crazy love birds.

Wanna know a little back story? If no, stop reading because I am going to tell you anyway how I met my dear friend Katie:

Katie went to Texas State & I went to the University of Houston. I joined Delta Zeta and became friends with a Sigma Nu who happened to be dating Katie at the time. He talked about her all the time and showed us pictures, so eventually we got to meet her when she would come in town to see him. Little did we all know, she pledged Delta Zeta at Texas State as well and was actually going to transfer to the University of Houston the next year!

It was like we were meant to meet and become the bestest of friends.

Katie is always down for a great time, anything that involves being silly is up her ally. I think that is why we get along so well. Sil Sil Sil.

Like the time we put a sign on her Jetta in college that said "Hot Pink Route" and picked college kids up at the bus stops and ask if they wanted a ride! (we made those kids' days)

Here is an old FB post from our college days:

Fun with Kate n Sam: EPISODE ONE
-flying over ladders in the middle of the highway going ummm about 100 MPH
-lubys trips
-squirting butter on ppl @ the lubys trips
-falling in the bushes @ the lubys trips

-coast guards(and their SS#)
-fountaining
-stealing rugs(from more places than the DZ house)
-meeting new people RANDOMLY
-glasses of water...AFTER BEING TUCKED IN!
-yummy food in spring (NOT)
-exotic pet shops
-crazy scary birds that cant fly
-little boys holding hands in the street
-boys peeing in the bushes
-boys hiding in the bushes while boys are peeing in the bushes
.....EPISODE TWO COMING SOON.....

So I am not quite sure I remember what all of those are about, but I do know one thing...

I love this girl and can't wait to get silly this weekend with her!!!!

Trash. Pure Trash.

But I just can't stop watching!

So last night was the premier of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. If you don't have any idea what that means, please see below:

{via}

Basically there was a show on TLC about little girls in pageants. This 6 year old girl Alana was one of the children on one of the episodes. She was so hysterical that they apparently gave her, her own TV show. And all I have to say is THANK YOU. It is the most mind boggling, laugh out loud, thankful for your family, trash TV I have seen in a while.

And.I.Can't.Stop.Watching.

Things I can't get enough of:
1) 90% of the show has to have subtitles because you can't understand half the crap they are saying
2) The nick names the family has given one another: Mama, Suga Bear, Pumpkin, Chubbs, Chickadee
3) 17 yr old Chickadee is in her 3rd trimester
4) The amount of times Alana talks and touches her belly
5) Alana just says the absolute best one liners for a SEVEN YEAR OLD.

It really is a ridiculous show, but it is pure entertainment people. I recommend checking it out if you haven't indulged in this guilty pleasure yet. It comes on Wednesdays at 9 PM.

No need to call a doctor, I'm just fine!

Don't ask me how it happened.

And no, I do not need help.

{i may be in denial}

You see I'm just a little addicted obsessed.

Just don't take me to that isle.

You may loose me for a very long time.

Plus I may dish out a few extra doll hairs for items I already have I don't need.

Insert my issue:

Shampoo & Conditioner Overload.

One would think that they are in the hair care isle, but really it's just my collection of hair wash. I admit. It really is horrid, I know, but I love to try new hair products, I love to use a different shampoo/conditioner each wash and I sometimes forget what I have already purchased because there is sooooo much of it.

This has to come to a stop. I have made a list of everything I have. So when I do hit up 'ol Walmart, I know that I already have a whole bottle of Herbal Essence's Tousle Me Softly and only need to buy the conditioner.

Are you curious what the list is? It's really bad. Please don't judge me!

Suave - Keratin Infusion Shampoo
Suave - Keratin Infusion Conditioner (2)
Suave - Tropical Coconut Shampoo
Suave - Tropical Conditioner
Herbal Essence - Body Envy Shampoo
Herbal Essence - Breaks Over Shampoo
Herbal Essence - Tousle Me Softly Shampoo (2)
Herbal Essence - Tousle Me Softly Conditioner
Herbal Essence - Hello Hydration Shampoo
Herbal Essence - Long Term Relationship Shampoo
Herbal Essence - Long Term Relationship Conditioner
Tresemme - Anti Breakage Shampoo (2)
Tresemme - Moisture Rich Shampoo
Tresemme - Breakage Defense Shampoo (2)
Tresemme - Breakage Defense Conditioner (2)
Tresemme - Healthy Volume Shampoo
Tresemme - Healthy Volume Conditioner
Bed Head - Some Like It Hot Shampoo
Bed Head - Some Like It Hot Conditioner
Redken - All Soft Shampoo
Redken - All Soft Conditioner
Paul Mitchell - Awapuhi Shampoo
Paul Mitchell - The Conditioner
Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Shampoo
Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Conditioner

Drum roll please, if my calculations are correct, that's thirty bottles.

In my defense, I use a lot more conditioner then shampoo, so I just get all thrown off once one is out but I still have more of the other. Justification here people!

Just don't tell my mother, she would  be so disappointed...

Friday Favorites

So I have linked up with Ashley for Friday's Letters a few times, so I thought I would spread the joy and link up with Lindsey today for Friday's Favorites!

Favorite Summer Show(s)
So You Think You Can Dance. It has always been my all time favorite. But some more guilty pleasures on my DVR right now:
Bachelor Pad
Keeping up with the Kardashians
Million Dollar Listing
Real Housewives of NYC & NJ
Snookie & JWoww (please don't judge me!)
Love Broker
Miss Advised
Baggage Battles
Hotel: Impossible
reality junkie much?

Favorite New Drank of Choice
I came across Pinnacle Whipped Vodka. I needed a mixer and grabbed some Clear American Raspberry Blackberry  Heaven in my mouth.
Great: All Pinnacle Products are gluten & dairy free
Good: 132 calories & 7.5 carbs
Bad: Super easy to drink. It's just that good. Which is bad. It goes down quicker which means you need to refill your glass that much more often. Not good for those who need their feet to walk!

Favorite New Face Cleanser
Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Cream Cleanser
I normally don't like any face wash that doesn't have micro beads. I feel like the soap just isn't scrubbing my face clean. But I was my face twice a day normally and the micro beads are just too much for two-a-days. So I tried this cream cleanser and it is really nice on the skin and really does brighten your face. It's like little tiny sparkles are shining on your skin :)

Favorite New iPhone App

SnipSnap
Basically any coupon you get you can snap a picture of it and upload it to this app. That way you don't have to worry about a bunch of paper print outs in your purse! Also, you can search for coupons in specific stores to see if someone else has snipped a coup' and uploaded it. It's like a big coupon sharing data base. Too Cool!

Favorite Thing To Do
I started a book club yall! I have been big into reading recently and wanted to do something fun with it. So I sent invitations to a few friends and called it "Samantha's Alcohol Infused Book Club". You know we couldn't just read and not have any fun! So we will have a book a month and a special drink to go along with it. I will have to let you know how it goes!

I am so happy it's the weekend, I have so many errands to run and things to do that even though it is a free weekend, I am still a little busy bee. Plus I am feeling real creative and want to do some DIY arts & crafts. We will see if I find the time! Have a great weekend yall!!!

Girls Weekend Re-Cap

I know I am a day late with my weekend re-cap. So so sorry. But once I got home on Sunday, I still had the normal Sunday errands to prepare me for the week. But today we get to focus on the amazing girls weekend that was filled with sun, fun and lots of laughs. Check it out:

We left Thursday morning and headed to Horseshoe Bay which is in the Texas Hill Country. B-E-A-U-TIFUL! When we got to the hotel, we headed straight for the pool & Yacht Club Marina. Getting in the water before the sun went down was our top priority!
That night we did dinner and walked around the property checking out the place.
Fast forward through our slumbers, most of Friday was spent in Frederickberg, TX. Should you have a love of wine, this is the place to be. They have Vineyards & Wineries for tastings & tours available and the views are breathtaking and the wine is pretty good as well. I mean who could turn down a sweet Texas Red? We went did 3 wine tastings and 1 tour. We also stopped by this amazing place called das Peach Haus which sells amazing jellys/jams/preserves/salsas/dips. And they have it all out for you to sample. Lets just say lunch was served.
And of course when we got back to the hotel, only one thing was on our minds again....
Swimming & Glow In The Dark Line Dancing. That's right. This place was like Dirty Dancing with all the activities throughout the hotel. And glow in the dark line dancing is one we did not want to miss. I would like to think we started the party as we may have been the first ones busting moves on the lawn, but it wasn't until we met some 12-13 year old girls on vacation that I felt like I was in the movie Now & Then. They thought they were the bees knees because they were hanging out with a bunch of 30 year olds. That's right, they thought we were 30! I think the exact statement was, "Yeah, yall look young, like 30". I am sorry. I am still claiming mid-twenties and these girls were trying to rush me into my early thirties. Not cool.
Basically they wanted to be like us when they grew up and take girls trips. Forward to Saturday where we headed to Llano, TX where we spent most of the day on the Llano River soaking up rays and sliding down chutes. It was probably my favorite thing we did.
And once we left there, we ended right where we started the trip...pool time!

Can I go back pah-leasssse?
BEST.GIRLS.WEEKEND.EVER.
Toodles :)
